Decibel in New Zealand

Decibel are travelling to Dunedin, New Zealand for a performance on Friday December 3rd at the Marama Hall, University of Otago, at the 2010 Joint Conference of the MSA and NZMS  entitled ‘Re:Visions”.  You can find the program for the conference here. Decibel members Cat Hope and Lindsay Vickery will also be presenting papers, and conducting a forum discussion on electro-acoustic performance. Decibel will be joined by guest artists Jonathan Paget , Chris De Groot and Stewart Smith.

Decibel will be performing at CreateWorld in Brisbane, at Griffith University Campus, Southbank on the 1st of December
If you can face a 9am gig, this will be for you! Something different than our usual, with some special guests.

Decibel in Brisbane

Decibel will be performing another Lucier program at the Judith Wright Centre  of Contemporary Art in Brisbane, in a series entitled  The Trilling WIre, which also features Ensemble Offspring and Golden Fur. 

November 11, 7.30pm in the Shofront Space.

This program will feature pieces from the 3 Lucier programs presented in 2010. Thier recording of Lucier works is now complete: news soon about the release. More details here.

New Decibel Dates

- Decibel will be performing at a free concert as part of Edith Cowan University’s research week, on Thrusday August 18, 7.30 in the Main Auditorium at WAAPA, 2 Bradford St, Mt Lawley.

- Decibel will be performing in Brisbane on the 11th of November as part of the Trilling Wire series at the Judith Wright Centre, Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley. They will be perfoming more Alivin Lucier works.
